Have you ever had a moment where you felt truly free to express yourself in front of others? A moment when you forgot to be bothered about what others think, and you fully experienced emotional freedom—expressing yourself unfiltered, without tension and heat in your head, stomach, throat, or chest?
Maybe it was dancing like no one was watching or bursting into laughter over a funny memory while waiting in line. Perhaps it was the rush of courage when you gave a stranger a compliment, admitted you were wrong and apologized, or even cried openly at a graduation.
Emotional freedom is those moments of uninhibited joy, raw honesty, animalistic rage, and creative expression—whether it’s singing your heart out at karaoke, sketching in a coffee shop, or cheering wildly at your kids’ soccer game. It’s laughing uncontrollably with friends, shouting to release frustration, or confidently rocking an outfit that turns heads. These small yet powerful acts remind us of what it feels like to live authentically and connect deeply with ourselves and others.
But I also understand if these words trigger frustration or a sense of limitation in you. Before starting KI emotional self-repression work and experiencing results in a short time, I couldn’t even imagine feeling true happiness about my career successes without guilt.
I couldn’t picture myself wearing a beautiful dress and embracing my femininity without feeling unsafe around men. Even admitting when I was wrong felt impossible without defensiveness or blaming someone else.
So, I invite you to some playfulness. Call it “Journaling My Limitations.” Throughout the day, every time you notice yourself unable to say or do what you truly want, write it down:
What is it that you’re not expressing?
How would it sound or look if you did?
What emotions are tied to that expression?
Then ask yourself questions to uncover the blocks:
What’s the worst that could happen if I said/did/expressed this?
What do I get from believing that this would happen?
What’s the best that could happen if I said/did/expressed this?
What do I get by blocking myself from experiencing that?
Find your answers. Explore your truth. And if you feel like sharing, or asking something about it, you know where to find me… :)
Warmly,
